Biography
Daniel Gonçalves (b. Porto, 1977), known artistically as Daniel Draughtsman, is a Portuguese visual artist whose practice is rooted in drawing and mixed media. Since 2016, he has developed an extensive body of work that combines geometric abstraction and highly detailed figurative imagery through ink, marker, spray paint, adhesive tape, handwritten text and other geometric interventions.
His work explores identity, memory, vulnerability and psychological tension, balancing technical precision with intuitive gestures. His work is held in international private and institutional collections, including the collection of Brian Donnelly (KAWS), and has been featured in Raw Vision magazine.
